Xiamen is a sub-provincial city of Fujian besides the Taiwan Strait. Fujian is home to a number of UNESCO sites: Wuyi Mountain, Hakka rural dwellings Tulou, Gulangyu Island and the Danxia landform. Hong Kong is easily connected to Xiamen by high speed train.
